We invite you to join and support ‘The Friends of the Ancient Monuments’. FOAM raises funds to help maintain the Court Hall and Museum, a Grade 1 listed building, the three Medieval Town Gates and the Town Well.

Winchelsea Corporation is responsible for these historic structures, as laid down by an Act of Parliament of 1883. The Corporation has a statutory annual income of only £19, as decreed in the reign of Elizabeth 1st. FOAM’s help in raising funds is therefore vital.
